Bit more info would be helpful.. like the commandline you're trying to use, and the output you get.

i'm doing exactly the same as i do when using modern wolfmame's.
i got it to work just now, typing "record kungfum kungfum", but when i type "mame kungfum", i get "mame is not recognised...."
i experience this with other older mame's, it's like some of them require a different 1st word, instead of "mame" for common commands...

The name of the executable was not "mame.exe" for the v0.106 version of wolfmame, rather it is called mamep106-vc.exe.

So, instead of typing mame kungfum at the command prompt you would type mamep106-vc kungfum

Cheers,
BeeJay.

So the lesson here would be - learn to use the 'dir' command, or learn to use Windows Explorer.
