I'm aware of the problem, the game seems to corrupt the lives counter at times, (sometimes it happens a lot, sometimes not much at all) I suspect its some form of protection but I've been unable to track it down and fix it completely. The other sets do it too but maybe not as often ...

Indeed, Nebula suffers the same problem. I finished it some time ago and in the end the counter was completely screwed up...
