New XORs were released earlier this week, and MegaMan2 was one of them. Simply add the XORs to the ROM and it will work in MAME! :)

Yep, those are the CRCs I have. Do remember that megaman2 is the parent set.

yes i did have the encrypxors shoot i wonder why megaman2 crashes, dos mame breaks saying it can't intialize the display so when i try -640x480 it doesn't crash but the game acts like i dont have the right roms... strange i guess i'll have to keep trying to get my svgalib xmame to work in full screen on my new comp. It's proly my geforce3 it sucks for mame, i should have stayed with ati.

I got both MM2 recordings working under WinCli, FS11 or 0, throttle or not, with sound.

MAME has absolutely no problems whatsoever with my cheapo TNT2 M64. :)

you don't even have that strech issue, where anytime strech hardware acceleration is used it looks like shiete? my ati didn't have that.

well this was Me, i added the new xors to rckman2j .zip when the old ones were in megaman2 and it was borrowing those.

I think hardware stretch looks shittier without the bilinear filtering. Either way, XMAME (OpenGL build) and StretchMAME can disable. MAME can't because it requires Direct3D to disable that.

damn i wish i could get xmame to work in full screen, DGA (sp?) crashes my linux and svgalib build with full screen doesn't initialize the display. I can run it in Xwindows and shrink the xwindows resolution down but it's still skippy. nobody on the linux boards has problems with lo resolution full screen modes so i'm stuck.

Have you tried the modelines supplied with XMAME, maybe those will help, if your monitor can manage 85-95Hz modes.

Otherwise, use the XGL build (the 0.61 preview won't compile this, last I checked, though), run with -fullscreen, and push LCTRL+LALT+B to disable bilinear filtering.

You have an NVidia card, right? Should work.

yeah i've tried many modelines, the modes i configure only seem to work with the Xwindows screen resolution changer. But i haven't tried XGL, and i do have the g-fart 3, i'll try dat.
