MARP frontend

Post by kranser »

Do any MAME frontends recognise MARP zipped INP files, and enable selection of the playback from a list of available playbacks?
Of course the MAME frontend would need to be able to support different versions of MAME, and recognise which one to use.

Just wondering if anyone has done or heard of any work on this.

Thanks,
Kranser.

not that i'm aware of. some of us have scripts which parse the marp file name and playback the according version of mame and game automatically, but to be publically usefull the script would have to have an environment of where all the mame.exe's are. i personally have a bash script that does this and it's a keystroke saver for sure but it's bash (requires cygwin for windows) and it assumes you have all the mame.exe's saved in a certain directory (mame/playback) as the marpMameVersionName.zip.
