Lemmings talk: Part trois

The new rules for Lemmings seem to be working well; however, there seems to be a slight ambigulity in the special rules: Are you allowed to use resources from "time-out continues" which you didn't have before the continue?

I.e. The recordings plf_lemmings_207_win58 [GAMEBOY9] and wpc_lemmings_621_mame58 [which has strangely disappeared from the download page! Anyone know why?] are very careful not to use any resources from continues - i.e. if they can't complete because they don't have any more builders then end of game.

But, recording wpc_lemmings_719_win58 [Donut] contains a number of cases where the level cannot be completed due to lack of builders; but play continues after the "time out continue" where the builders are replaced. Is this allowed, as the Special Rules are quiet on this matter?

Can the Special Rules be changed to indicate whether this is allowed or not?

Kranser.

http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/wpc_lemm ... mame58.zip should still exist...

The special rules are quiet - but I figure to keep it the way it is - because in the end he WILL be penalized if he does finish the game: -100 points for the credit he had to waste. (because 100 points for each credit left if you finish)

Ok, now I can see how the current scoring system caters for this :)

But, can we add to the special rules that this is allowed, so that there is no confusion?

Thanks Gameboy9!

By the way, I'm still getting problems with missing recordings. When I click on 'Lemmings' gamename, I get a query for score positions 1 to 1000, but only these 5 scores are shown:

1st) essekappa (@) 28 Mar 02 01:11:43 9,720 : 100pts
2nd) Donut (@) 28 Mar 02 02:02:19 1,127 : 10pts
3rd) gameboy9 (@) 23 Mar 02 21:18:17 207 : 2pts
4th) Blost (@) 13 Feb 02 19:21:26 170 : 1pts
5th) ozz (@) 12 Feb 02 12:46:16 147 : 1pts

Do you get the same results? There are definitely a few scores missing (I can think of 143, 168, 139, 144, 621, 719 and 145)

OK, let's say I submit a score of 30.

I then come back and submit another score, this time of 60. The 30 becomes a hidden recording. Each person only has one recording shown at the same time. One recording / person is shown, is what I mean.

I think that's done to keep the leaderboards "clean" and it probably has something to do with leaderboard points, something I think is becoming less and less important.

Thanks Gameboy9. :o I wasn't aware of that before (and I've been using MARP for a few months now!!!). That definitely answers the question as to where the recordings went, and I guess the recordings working like this makes sense too :) .
