i have dedicated so much time to Track n Field i knew i was going to be atleast top 5. Phil's imp i saw and it didnt impress me a bit., theres no skills there pure cheating so we have to call this match : "Phil's cheating inventions VS Daniel's skills". don king if your out there. :)
Anyone who has a chance to look at my imp will notice theres room to improve my score but not by much..
1) i average 7:70-7:80 in the 100 dash and a best so far of 7:56., Phil has a 7:02?!?! HINT = every .10 of a sec is 30 points..
2)the long jump i have gotten 9:72..
3)the javelin i have gotten 99:99..
4)the 110 hurdles i can't remember but, its a few tenth off though
5)hammmer i have gotten 99.90..
6)and the high jump is a matter of time before i hit 2:53, i jump 2:52 everytime i play.
add up the scores and notice im only behind in the running events.., and if you give me that speed.. well add them up i did allready :)

I agree that his recording most probably is cheating.
But your replay does not playback, Please use the latest beta of
Mame for windows, that makes it much easier for us to replay the files.

When Dan recorded the inp for that Track n Field game, I tried to run
all 3 beta's in windows, and what happened is when he got to the
screen where you could enter your name, it would bounce between the
letters "A" and "B" and made it uncontrollable. I messed around with
some of the settings to see if I may of changed something, and it
still didn't work. I tried removing the 3 beta's and run the game
with mame34 final in windows, and it worked fine. Any suggestions as
to why this happened and what I may be able to do to fix this problem
so he can replay another game using the current ver. in windows is
greatly appreciated.

I've had problems with trying to use different versions of MAME32 before. I've found that a way to solve the problem is to delete MAME's registry entries whenever you change between versions.

You can delete the registry entries like this:

run regedit: Start-Menu -> Run... -> regedit.exe -> OK

find the Mame 'directory': HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Freeware

click on 'Mame32' and press the Delete key. Click 'Yes'.

Then you might find that MAME32 will run better. (You will also find that MAME32 has forgotten everything you ever told it, like what directories you keep everything in, whether you want to use DirectDraw, all you dipswitch settings (I think), etc, etc).

I hope that's useful...
