SIGSEV error, what's this?

Hi everyone.

I was just wondering if someone could explain what this SIGSEV error is? It seems that many of the games from 37b13 doesn't work and reports that error along with a lot of numbers. I've seen it in other Betas, but not with as many games as in this release.

its something you're really gonna grow to hate - believe me...

i havent tried it myself but i heard running dos mame through windows
should correct most (if not all) of them...mame32 maybe?

speaking of mame32 - my new comp will have win2k pro on it. waht is
the speed difference between dos mame and mame32?

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately it doesn't help me, as my
computer then acts the same way as Game Guru's, which he explains in
another message. The screen goes black and the PC freezes.
<p>
BTW, what's going on at MAME32? Choosing the download screen, only
gives some banners and then nothing.
<p>
Is the whole MAME scene playing mad at the moment

Found out why my screen was going black...
<p>
I had to upgrade the drivers 4 the graphics card and install the 4 in
1 drivers from the motherboard utility disk....
<p>
Took me ages to work it out.......
