Possible problem with knockout submissions

I just read the new changes to the knockout rules, and found that the scores would be submitted as ordinary MARP scores, with a note in the description that the scores would be counted in the competition.

If you already have a very good score at a knockout game, it could be extremly difficult to submit a score at all, since you have to beat yourself to submit.

A better solution would be to separate the knockout scores from ordinary MARP scores by using a prefix like in the tournaments.

How about using k1 as the prefix as this is the first knockout
tournament? Pacman would be k1-pacman and so on.

We are trying to work on this problem - what I was going to try to do
was place games onto regulation mode and make it worth 0 points to
the leaderboard so it has no affect to it(except maybe the average...)

I think I'll ask zwaxy what I can do to place a separate knockout
mode so it has no affect to anything.

I'll keep in touch. GB9

Abbe, I wasn't trying to let the cat out of the bag, but talked with
the other tourney coordinator after I posted the change(s) and he
thought that would be the way to go, and was checking on it.
