ok i was in efnet's #marp, in which jdllama is in quite a lot. he is a beta tester of the twin galaxies database, and while he looks at it seems as if he comes across some 'interesting' scores. he often reports his findings to the channel. take a look at these (BTW, these are NOT typos):

crazy taxi: 20 million
galaga: 4 089 060 317/daniel buchanan
galaxian: 26 727 048/mark lyons
final fantasy 7: 15 billion (you heard right)
pacman: 15 676 420 by jeff reinis
rally-x: 770 108
donkey kong: 37 920 011
crazy kong: 26 010 010

Not forgetting 12 million on Moon Patrol , and @ 110 billion on
Ghosts 'n' Goblins......!?

It`s a fun game that can be played at #marp. Basically JD quotes
some 'official' TG scores , and the winner is the one that laughs the
longest :)
Everyones' a winner......

Well, good to know that after being here for a month, I'm now the kid
that everyone likes to laugh at :)

David and Alex, thanks for getting me a nice list together; I'll be
sure to email someone at TG for these horrid mistakes

Sincerely,

Really crazy taxi 20million?!?!I have ever seen 11 mil. of play. carrying 220 customers. It seemed almost
impossible to improve from that super play.but 80% higher?????oh my god.
raiden 100 million is much easier.congratulations if it is true.

1. The TG board is still in a beta phase. that means incomplete, and
with errors...including formatting errors and scores not yet entered.

2. Rally X is most likely 77010, stage 8, Donkey Kong 379200, stage
11, Crazy Kong 260100, galaxian 267270, stage 48, etc.

3. At least let some of the chickens hatch... I thought Ben Jos and I
made that clear last night.

The score I think is most unbelivable is Pitfall II...

The game doesn4t loop and even with the "bat trick" you can4t get more
than 1,5mil+

Try to beat TG4s record of 70.000.000 then folks...

Cheers

ps the scores on moon patrol and gng is possible, but only in
theory...( was it not 100mil on gng?)
it took me over i hour to get 1 mil on gng.. i don4t think playing
that game for 100 hours is good for your health :)

hisa: i think he means 20 000 000 cents ($200 000), still seems
impossible though i'm still trying to beat $60 000 (PB: $58 529,14
with 133 customers)

Crazy Taxi is legit. In fact, that 20M score is only about a fifth
of what many players around the globe have already gotten which you
can see for yourself here
http://kenshin.hypermart.net/crazy/ranking.htm This site is the
official Crazy Taxi High Score page and is a excellent source for not
only scores, but for tricks about the game from top to bottom

Um, Steve? Did you actually pay attention to the scores on that Crazy
Taxi page? The highest scores are in the $115,000 range. Scores
include the number of cents after the dollar, so you're not getting 11
million dollars but 115,000 and whatever's left over, etc. If there
were enough customers for a $20 million dollar game, it would take an
amazing amount of endurance - it takes about two hours just to reach
the $100k level, so $20 million would take... oh I dunno, 16 or 17
days straight playing the game!

Even a $200,000 score seems impossible to me because there are just
not enough customers to earn that much money. Even if you were to get
some extreme tip bonuses, by that point in the game you're not given
much time to drop off a customer so you can't dilly-dally. I won't
believe it til I see it.

Oh, personal best is $91,942.56 (but that was on Dreamcast)
