I believe he is using mame32Lang+37b2 which i just downloaded and can't get mbombrd to playback with and without sound with frameskip 0, also dos m37b2 wasn't able to playback the recording.

Chad, I assure you I checked out my recordings before uploading them.
Mbombrd works and Growl too. This doesn't mean everything works on my
pc, in fact my recordings of polyplay don't work at all, deer hunter
included. I don't know what to say, if you want you can come and see
me here in Pescara so you'll see it with your eyes
By the way, I set up frameskip 0 and sound on.

This looks like it could be another NVRAM issue... Vaz, did you delete
the .nv file before recording? If not, then that explains why you're
the only one that can play it back (no luck here either)

oh yeah, there is this new nvram issue that is causing lots of
troubles. can you try deleting the nvrammbombrd.nv then make a new
recording (doesn't have to be a good one, just a test one that gets
passed at least one round.) and maybe that might be the problem...

from what i've seen different platforms of mame with the same mame
version make different nvram files, and also different runs may
update nvram files, so it's safest to delete the nvramGAMENAME.nv
before recording anything mame36 or after.

believe me even though i'd love to go to italy!, i don't need to to
know your recordings are acurate. you've already got a bunch of
recordings that work for you. It's this new mame version that is
being a pain: disalowing most from seeing the recordings you record
(which is what this site is about.)

Uhm. What if I add the GAMENAME.nv file in the zipped file? In my last
recordings, not uploaded yet, I added my .cfg and .hi files too. What
d'ya say about that?

This may help, but it's a bit complicated, because the nvram file
might change the second/third time you record on the same gamename.
However, i haven't seen this yet, and if you are able to playback an
old recording on the nvram file in your directory at this momemnt,
then it might work if you include it with the inp. the gamename.nv
file in there might enable us to play it back... it's certainly worth
a try!

a simpler thing to do is to remove the nvram file before recording,
so you don't have to worry about including extra files along with the
inp. *so when you play that recording back it doesn't require a
nvram file.)
