T3 - three questions

1. What is this Gauntlet2 SECRET CODE anyway. I thought it was the code which you get after exiting in secret room(get a T-shirt from Atari etc), that is only a nice add to game. On or off, but does anyone know how enabling it affects gameplay? Is it now on or off as dip-settings in T3?


2. It would be interesting to know, who looks through all the inps of certain game. So, WHO are the judges?



3. I've only played couple of games of NINJAKID2, therefore take this as a polite "me want to know too"-question, not accusing anyone.
I find it very hard to use that jumping from right to left to right to... when going upwards in a tight shaft(couldn't put it more difficult). This technique demands very sharp timing and pressing two buttons exactly same time(right/left + jump), and once you jumped upwards you'll have to change quickly right/left direction to opposite, in a very short period.



I don't have retro joystick, I'll use keyboard instead. Is it really possible to learn master that technique with some practise? OR are there joypads on sale, that have programmable buttons, that would make possible pushing two buttons at the same time with a single stroke/button? Would it be concidered as cheating. So what kind of controls YOU EXPERTS use?



It would have been fair to ask question 3 directly on someone, but I think this issue should be discussed anyway on this board. Now back to business: playing the games.........Umhh Saturday, on second thought I'll go have "few" beers and hustle some 9 ball

Answers:

1. I don't know what the code is

But I can tell you that by
default that switch is on. But I have said NO SECRET CODES - so if
the judge, who I'll mention in a moment, sees something really funny
that might be a secret code, it might be koodles for that recording.

2. Judges are as follows: (BTW... I did not come up with this list.)

GB9's got Ghouls N' Ghosts and Ninja Kid II 
Lagavulin has Marble Madness 
Ben Jos has Gauntlet II and Tron 
Iur Dhurin has 10 yard fight 
Donut has Amidar and Burning Rubber 
Phil Lamat has Lady Bug 
finally Sandman has Xenophobe 

3. I'm not good at this, but this is what I've been told: jump
toward the wall. Before you hit the wall, go to the opposite
direction and hold the jump button. Remember: you must release the
jump button after each bounce and after the initial jump.

For #3 GB is perfectly right for the technic ; I personnally use the
keyboard , this is not so difficult , just a question of timing



For #1 I don't know this game so I don't know also know what is this
secret code ; but I have an other question about it : how to get 8000
points killing deaths ??? (cf BBH inp)

#3's OK with a keyboard. Just a matter of timin as Gb9 said.


While i'm here i got a question about 10 Yard Fight :
What am i supposed to do (& how) after a touchdown?
Kick or Run is the choice i think. How do you do that?

To run, just run like normal after the ball is hiked. To kick, after
the ball is hiked, press the lateral pass (I think) button when the
moving arrow is in the middle. The player will automatically kick
the ball. You will also probably have to back up as you're kicking
or you may get tackled! :~)

To Phil's question: I think it's fair to let everyone know this- just shoot death 3 times, and you'll get 8000s rest of the game...
