Recording non-defaults

Usually you can set the defaults differently by running the mame with
the game you want to set with out recording. Then tabing to the
correct dipswitch/menu and setting the non-default options you want.
Hit escape a few times to quit mame, and then run mame again. It
should save the settings you set.

If the settings are set in the game itself with an F2 key, then
usually you have to set those settings evertime you play/record.
