Good point, Cicca! Indeed, most machines in an arcade hall only
"remember" the top 5 or top 10 scores. And I sure hope that they don't
reset the machines every day, because people who get a good score on a
machine would like to see that there for a while. MARP is like a big
arcade hall. It keeps the top whatever scores for games, but, unlike
arcade halls, and very fortunately, those scores are never reset. And,
as has been said several times before, nobody is going to be
interested in downloading the recording for a score that is in 30th
place or so. So what's the big deal in not accepting those in the
first place? If you are really proud of one of your scores, but can't
get it onto MARP, then just put it elsewhere (your own webpage for
example). So far, this has been the only real solution we've seen to
reduce the load on the servers, and if it's a choice between this and
not being able to get onto MARP at all because it's down all the
time...
