speaking of mamenet

What condition is mamenet in? Is it playable, in work?

Last I hard awhile back is on the xmame team someone started a hack to network xmame and actually had a somewhat working version(I think) but stopped posting news about after there was an announcement that the mame team was working on networked mame.
