hello,

I am pissed.

The following INP :
jms_alpham2_2653300_m36b3.zip
doesn't playback correctly.

yes I got mame36b3
yes I put sound on
yes I deleted HI & CFG
yes I have tried frameskip auto
yes I have tried frameskip 0
yes I have mailed the author
yes other alpham2 inp works perfectly

this inp doesn't work. period.

So I request that you remove this lamer contribution from marp !

He didn't use mame35final as he should have.
He didn't include a TXT as he should have.
He didn't respond to my mail as he should have !

You are correct, this recording may not playback for other players.
And it is among the list of games that are noted not to playback when
recorded in a certain version of mame (see the Games That do not play
back thread.) This particular recording playbacks for somepeople
(besides the recorder) and not playback for some people (including me
and you.)

Even though this does playback for someone with m36b3 and doesn't
playback for someone else, i too believe this recording should be
banned. However if it was recorded with macmame and it playsback
with macmame just fine, then it shouldn't be banned, even if 99 out
of 100 people can't play it back with dosmame.

However, there has only been a ban vote for specific games that don't
playback (ALL of which have been voted on to BAN if the inps don't
play back), there hasn't been a vote for banning any recording that
doesn't playback reguardless of which game it's from.

It's been said many times, this is a mame "action" replay site, and
not a "post your high score screen shot if the inp doesn't" play back
site.

Perhaps a vote should be posted for the general banning of inps that
do not playback with the same options/version to record.

Is i.am a real site?

Now, while this is not my recording, I do think it has been targeted
perhaps unfairly. If it does play back in the exact settings listed,
mame36b3 (I wonder if it was recorded in a later one by the date)
then it is valid, irregardless of whether or not some one person can
or can't get it to playback. Second, I wish the person would speak up
for his own recording.

AND CHAD, i.am is a valid URL listing, if you doubt it, try it.
It's a referral service, like i.am/name kind of site.

wow that's pretty cool, come.to i.am, pretty soon it's going to be
eat.me, i like it, but they need to get more languages besides
english.

Well this issue was resolved before, bubble is proly to bored to
respond to messages about it. He actually emailed me a 2M alpham2 he
recorded in mame35 and it did work. and yes i tired the 2.6M
recording on m36b[1-4] when it was uploaded and nothing made it
work. Now that i'm aware that macmame recordings do something like
this and that xmame usually plays macmame recordings back, i'll try
to xmame it, but bubble is going to upload a better recording using a
version that is more stable for that particular game.
