oscar/oscarj - Can't playback the leading recordings by xtc

Post by Tim Morrow »

I have attempted to playback the 3 leading oscar nd oscarj recordings
with the following results:

Oscar
1st - Mame 35b4 doesn't recognise the inp file and ignores it
2nd - only plays back without sound (gets out of synch if sound is on)
3rd - plays back fine

Oscarj
1st - Mame 35b4 doesn't recognise the inp file and ignores it
2nd - plays back fine
3rd - plays back fine

As anyone managed to playback the leading entries by xtc? If so, how did you do it?

BTW - Am I right in assuming that MAME only ignores a inp file if it doesn't understand its format?

Cheers,
Tim

This inp doesn't have a header which leads me to believe it was
recorded in MacMame, which means it may not playback in the dos
version, sometimes these have played back in xmame so i'll try to find
out if it'll playback under xmame.

I was able to playback the cronos oscar recordings of 100k or so.
