Upon discussion with Pat Laffaye and Chris Parsley - I believe we have decided that you MUST use the upright romset - you can use environmental settings(which I believe are programmed into the romset) - but it would be more beneficial if you used the upright settings. Yes - upright settings are legal as well as enviromental - regardless, you MUST use 4 lives!

I just hope that our recordings are still playable given that we are
going to have to change the dipswitch settings as part of our
recording due to the game refusing to remember you want 4 lives with
the upgright setting..... unless I'm the only one having this problem
in which case how do you get it to remember both 4 lives and Upgright
when you start your recording ?!

Haven't verified this, but I believe if you delete your DOTRON.CFG
file and start a new game, you'll revert back to the proper settings.

Nearly everything except Bally MCx games work that way ... the .cfg
files for DoT, Tron, Timber, Tapper, Domino Man, Wacko, Kick Man and
maybe even Spy Hunter are about - well - useless. Sorry, I was busy
getting my ass kicked by these weird things while everyone else was
off mastering Joust & Paperboy
