Captain Silver

There are some errors in Captain Silver list:

- The #1 of main version Captain Silver (World) [csilver] is: http://replay.marpirc.net/inp/6/5/4/krl ... _m35b3.zip
* First point --> Actually it belongs to Japan version (in MAME 0.35b3 only the Japan version was in the list, and not the World version).
* Second point --> I think this INP should be zeroed due to the infinite time. As Krool wrote: the timers in the game dont work... this means no time limit... unlimited time on everything you pick up. This was fixed in MAME 0.35b7, so all the INPs prior to that version should be zeroed.

- http://replay.marpirc.net/inp/0/f/a/kvd ... olf106.zip
I've confirmed this INP, but it should be moved to Japan version. The World version was added in MAME 0.115u1.

- http://replay.marpirc.net/inp/5/e/7/smk ... _m35b3.zip
It should be moved to Japan version, and I think it shoud be zeroed due to the timer bug in that version of MAME.

- http://replay.marpirc.net/inp/4/d/b/jlr ... m37b14.zip
It should be moved to Japan version.

- http://replay.marpirc.net/inp/d/6/1/mk_ ... _win36.zip
It should be moved to Japan version.

csilver was renamed to csilverj for MAME 0.116

To fix this I swapped all INPs between the two games. If an INP was recorded after 2005 then it was returned back to where it originally was posted.

Sorry but I don't understand your actions according to the year of the INP recording. I think the important here is the true version of the game used for the recording.

0.115u1: David Haywood added Captain Silver (World). Renamed (csilver) to (csilverj).

So all INPs recording using a version of MAME prior to 0.116 should be moved to Captain Silver (Japan), because it was the only set of the game in those versions of MAME. Taking this into account I still see one error in the MARP lists:

http://replay.marpirc.net/inp/0/f/a/kvd ... olf106.zip
It was recording using WolfMAME 0.106, so the INP was recording in the Japan version of the game. It should be moved to Captain Silver (Japan).

And... what about the Krool INP using the MAME version with infinite time? It will not be zeroed?

You are correct! I was using the m116 release as a cutoff date, when I should have been looking at the MAME version used.

So yes, I did miss only that one INP, which is now back in its proper place. Thanks!

As far as csilverj, the timing bug was fixed in m35b7, so the two INPs that were played using m35b3 have been deleted.

Hi.

I don't understand your decision about transfering all the inps recorded on the csilver rom after the 0.116 version (massimo, tar and me) because according to the explanations, they are recorded on the good romset (world version, the new parent rom since 0.116).

Is this an error ?

Cheers.

It seems ok :-)

Good job !

Edit : Maybe it needs a special rule to be sure that every player record his inp on the good set.
