am i insane (Shogun Warriors) -- Barry, skito?

so, i was trying out this game, and got pretty much to the last boss, after about a half hour of play (it's sooooo slow, like SF2 speed) only to find out, of course, that it pooched my replay.


i looked over at Phil's, and he's playing the SAME version as i am. i confirm his score, thinking: that's weird.

i mess around with sound and frameskip, just to see if it makes any difference. wiped NVRAM and left it present. nothing. i even try playing with KB instead of Josytick, in case my analog pad got tapped and somehow messed up input.

then i try CHANGING CHARACTERS.

get this:

when i play as Samurai, my .inp refuses to play back correctly, with me losing to Shogun in the first round every time.

when i play as Shogun, my .inp records and plays back correctly with no problems


how does that work?

still hoping to get some feedback on this... i can send the zip/.inp if anyone has any ideas.

It sounds possible that emulation can slow down if different characters are played with, do you have html linked examples?
