After winning the first two rounds 8-5 and 6-3 it then loses synch in the 3rd round resulting in a 1-6 loss.
I'll try other options on the playback and see what happens.

yep pretty much the same thing here, loses sync begining the third game. And the same goes for this recording too

not sure what it could be... the game doesn't appear to use nvram.

[edited incorrect remark]
I get 8-3,5-4,1-6 playing back the 11900 inp in xwolfmame 0.104 under Linux.

This one desyncs for me after match 6 :
10-3, 9-4, 5-2, 7-2, 7-1, 8-2 then desync (0-7)
I'm not surprised to have playbackability issue with this one, we also have playback problems with an other Art and Magics game, Ultimate Tennis (ultennis), which I had chosen for a tournament.
My advice is to record with -noafs, and maybe -nosound.

Same scores here. -noafs and -nosound seems like a good idea, or perhaps a later/earlier mame version.

No more luck : appears to desync at the beginning.
Maybe retry with DOS version like dos70tg ?
this one display correct playbacks apparently (as far as I can go in this game, which means not as far as you)

I think we got it, however in tgmame66 stonebal.nv must be removed, but i will give jose liberty this time. If you keep a default nvram in there the game playsback ok to 32250.
