Since this seems to have been the subject of some off topic posting, lets run a poll to see where the joystick is normally located for arcade machines in your area.

I've put myself down for the joystick almost always being on the left..... and this includes the arcade machines I've played in all the countries I listed in my countries I've ever played arcade games in..... including the ones I played on the island of Corfu, Greece when I visited there.

Some early Space Invaders machines annoyingly have the controls the "wrong" way round. It's always seemed strange that in a predominantly righthanded world the movement controls are usually put on the left.
