Maybe there is a problem with this game. I can't get this one to work either:

I wonder what happened !!! Before zipping and uploading that INP file, I checked it twice with playback by WolfMame 106 plus and it always confirmed the score I submitted. After reading this thread, today I tried to playback it again and it doesn't work anymore (2° match random moves and loses)
Problems about this game with WolfMame too ???????????????? I dunno !!!!
Anyway I can get a 1st place score again, so later I'll try to play that game and I'll check what will happen.

Well, thinking and thinking that I'm not crazy and I had tested the playback of that INP file and it confirmed twice the score I submitted, I tried to remember what happened between testing the file and zipping/uploading it, so I found out that I had changed the name of the INP file before zipping and uploading it.
I did so coz I saw that (almost) all the ppl that upload an INP file use the default name (for this game, for ex: btklroad.inp), whereas, when I record, I use different files (btklroad1.inp, btklroad2.inp, etc) coz, even if I beat a 1°/2°/3° place with some score, often I try to get a better score before uploading an INP file. So, after choosing which file I wanna upload, I change the name in the default one. The name of that INP file was btklroad1.inp and I changed it in btklupl.inp.
Was this the reason of the bug ??? Today I started to think about this and tried some experiments.
I tried to play an experimental just short game (3 matches) with John with these results:
1° MATCH vs Shinsaku: wins both rounds - score 64.900
2° MATCH vs Jeff: wins first round, loses second, wins third - score 137.300
3° MATCH vs Tyssa: wins first round, loses following two - score 153.700
Name submitted for score: KRN
The INP file created was named btkl1p.inp and, of course, also a btkl1p.wlf file was created.
I playbacked this INP file with the same results above described.
Experiment 1:
I copied INP and WLF files in another directory and playbacked the INP file:
same results above described.
Experiment 2:
I changed INP and WLF files in the new directory with the same name btklupload:
same results above described.
Experiment 3:
Deleted files of experiment 2 + again experiment 1 without playbacking + changed only the INP file in the new directory with the name btklupload and playbacked it:
1° MATCH vs Shinsaku: wins both rounds - score 64.900
2° MATCH vs Jeff: loses both rounds - score 66.900
Name submitted for score: BDL
Experiment 4:
Deleted files of experiment 3 + copied only the original INP file in a new directory and playbacked it:
same results of experiment 1.
Experiment 5:
I changed the INP file in the new directory with the name btklupload and playbacked it:
1° MATCH vs Shinsaku: wins both rounds - score 64.900
2° MATCH vs Jeff: loses both rounds - score 66.700
Name submitted for score: BL.
I tried more than once experiments n. 3 and n. 5, so I understood that moves in the 2° match seem to be random, but are not really, coz I always got the same results above described (score and kind of moves). Changing the name of the INP file seems to cause only something like a desynch starting from the 2° match.
If u don't want to try these experiments by yourself, I can upload the original INP file and the modified INP files of experiments n. 3 and n. 5.
Pls tell me what you think about that I wrote.

I think barry might agree that changing the filename of the inp file or removing the wlf files have no effect on playback even though your experiements show otherwise. It's likely there is a random number generator somewhere that is affecting the playback mechanism :( I think older wolfmame versions this wasn't happening with so i would recommend going back to the wolf versions the other submiters were using, since marp is not up now I can't tell but perhaps try your experiments with a test wolf101 game?
