MARP Election 2005 - Announcement of Nominations

Post by Zhorik »

Nominations are closed. Nominations needed to be accepted by December 30, 23:59 GMT in order to be listed on the election ballot. However, since at that time we didn't have as many candidates as positions for Knockout Coordinator, I extended the nomination/acceptance date for Knockout Coordinators until we had 3 candidates (which we do now).

The Election begins on 2006 January 7, 00:00 GMT

The following individuals were nominated: (accepted nominations are bolded, rejected nominations are underlined)

Regulation Coordinator:
TJT
Pat Laffaye (No reply in time)
Zwaxy (No reply in time)

Tournament Coordinator:
Frankie
Mahlemiut
BBH
Skito

Knockout Coordinators (there are 3 Knockout Coordinators):
BBH
MJS
NotMan
Abbe
DBH
Destructor
Donut
Gerhard Schindler (No reply in time)
QRS
Skito
zlk

WCC Coordinator:
Phil Lamat

Olympiad Coordinator:
Stig
Sampras (No reply in time)

Time Trial Coordinator:
BBH

HEY! Who pick me as a nomination for knockout coordinator? I'll accept the nomination until somebody say something about it. Hehee!

I have few new ideas to add the knockout tourney if I win. I'll let the Marpers decide whenever they like it or not.

I think that is good idea to have 3 coordinators to work as team to decide which games to be allowed in tourney.

Later,

NotMan

Well, nominations are supposed to be officially closed and either accepted or rejected now, but for the Knockout Coordinators we still don't have as many candidates as we do positions. The MARP rules (and the logisitics involved), call for 3 Knockout Coordinators. Currently we've only got NotMan and BBH that have agreed to fill these roles (and if BBH does fill this role, it will mean he can't defend his title from last year).

So, if there are any more volunteers/draftees for Knockout Coordinator, I'll keep the door open until the election begins on 2006 January 7, 00:00 GMT.

For the other coordinator positions, nominations are now closed and accepted nominations are noted in the first post of this thread.

Yes, it's da*n awful we have good players and players who love this site in one person.

Only reason NOT to be a cknockout coord is to take part oneself...Come on, you can choose games marpers will play and enjoy...I think very good! :)

Please more people come and run for knockcoord, there is nothing to loose unless you really really want play yourself! :P
