Zoo Keeper rom

I know that most of the Williams roms (robotron, joust, stargate, etc.) have been fixed to more accurately replicate the arcade game. As such, the high score (especially with "robotron") have increased dramatically.

Does anybody happen to know if the "zookeep" rom is going to be fixed as well in the same fashion? There is no question that it plays faster than the arcade version, and it makes the game proportionately harder. Even Shawn Cram, the Zoo Keeper WR holder, confirms this.

Anyways, I just firgured I'd throw this out there to see if anyone knows, or perhaps to nudge the powers that be into fixing it.

Thanks :)

depends on what was "fixed" for robotron....if it's something in the williams engine, then perhaps "all" or nearly all the williams games were "fixed" with that change.

then again...perhaps was specific to robotron so any other williams games would have to be addressed individually.

I have not played zookeeper in 101 yet...or anything newer than 78 actually...so I can't comment if I can notice a difference or not.

All of the older Williams games (Robotron, Joust, Sinistar, Defender, Stargate, Bubbles...etc.) now contain a 'decoder 4' & 'decoder 6' file (or a similar #), so essentially they now more accurately replicate the arcade version.

Before Wolf 95(93?) & the 'decoder' files, the Williams games played harder/faster than normal. I am hoping that a similar fix will be applied to Zoo Keeper, which plays much faster.
