OK......
So I spent the last several hours replaceing the arcade monitor with a SVGA monitor. Put in a new HD and CD-rom. Installed win 98. It didn't like the old ISA sound card so I tossed in a new PCI card. Installed all drivers (MB, video, sound). Installed newest DirectX. Installed Wolfmame 0.78. When I run wolfmame32 and Try to set up directories for ROMs etc... but the "browse" button doesn't work and "insert" at least lets you browse around, but the directory you select never shows up in the list of selected directories. Always get a crash at exit about mameP doing some illegal operation. Once I got a "propery sheet error 120 78" whatever that is. I'm about ready to roll the cab out to the curb..........................
Someone please help me.

try to configure the mame.ini file :

rompath "D:\MAME\roms;D:\MAME+\roms;D:\MAME\chd"
samplepath "D:\MAME\samples;D:\MAME+\samples"

I've looked in the INI file and the paths in it are correct. Still no games in wolfmame.

Have you tried putting a few roms into the default roms folder to see if they show up there?

Wolf does check on start up for new roms, but maybe manually audit once you've moved some across?

ah, i never installed wm without another mame there beforehand. create a 'roms' folder in your mame directory and stick a few in there and see what happens
