Hyper Athlete

Just wondering if any of the 'athletic' players play this, and why there don't seem to be any scores submitted?
Didn't know it exisated til today, and it runs a bit choppily.
Got just short of 16000pts after first go, dunno if thats any good hehe.

not uploaded a score for a long time - if there are no scores for a game does the site create an entry when a new score is uploaded or does it have to be added by staff?

Entries are added not long after each major MAME release (0.85, 0.86, etc.)
The scripts will tell you if a game exists or not.
As for no one playing it - I think you'd be needing a fairly hefty PC to run it well, it is PSX-based hardware after all. Plus the large-ass CHD, if I remember right.

it runs fine windowed.
the chd is c. 170mb
it IS choppy full screen which may have implications on frame rate when windowed dunno
But it isn't listed when searched for so can it be added?

How do you expect it to list recordings that don't exist?
Also, there shouldn't be any difference between fullscreen and windowed. Maybe you should use a lower resolution for fullscreen...

You can easily see which rom sets are in the MARP scoreboard database by selecting the "1st" or the "top3" links.
Rom sets for games in the database with even no scores submitted will show up there.
If you don't see it listed there then it hasn't been added yet so a submission for it wouldn't be accepted.

There is entry for hyperath. It's submittable. Runs allmost ok windowed, yet game crashes after qualifying first event...atleast when using wolf83...how about wolf86?

Wolf86 same problem for me, game jams after first event. Does it continue for other players? Maybe it's win98 and ah so wonderful memory management.
Hyperath.zip includes only hyperath25.bin, only one file?
I have hyperath.chd at roms/hyperath -folder and hyperath.zip at roms -folder.
How about winterheat(winterht) then, worth downloading?...

Tommi, first time I ran it, it crashed after 100m dash at the stadium screen.
On the game after that I skipped thru all the replays etc and it played fine. Reports elsewhere do suggest it crashes occasionally at random after any event but mine's crashed only once.

right, uploaded a score. It won't count I don't think because I can't get the game to run above 90% and I used Wolf86 which I seem to think always says cheats are enabled even tho it's off in both the GUI and .ini file
- not 100% sure tho if it's every game but it definately happens in Gunforce2 and Varth
**2nd edit - winterheat: i get 5 fps lol, gonna try a diff vid card tonight to see if it makes any difference. ..
