Goes immediately into sound test. (Using console version, but should be no difference)

I just played it back fine on my machine. Are you using the .86u3 version?

I used mame32v86u3. Do you have any special settings like -nosound or -noafs?

no special settings. I downloaded the Mame Exe. file from http://www.classicgaming.com/mame32qa/down.htm

Although they have version .86u4 listed now instead of .86u3. Although, I imagine that it would still play back fine.

mahlemiut, where did you get your version of Mame to post your Inp of this game?

Thanks

Standard source release from mame.net, patched to u3 from the "official" patches. I'll try it with u4 in a few moments (have to re-compile first).

I just downloaded the .86u4 version and it doesn't get past the sound test. I checked the 86.u3 version one more time and it worked on all 3 computers. Give the re-compile a try. And if that doesn't work. Post a exe. that I can download and I will record the inp with that version. So we know that it will work.

Thanks

mahlemiut

Could you post a link to the version you are using so I can record the inp with it. Or should I just wait till Wolf comes out with support for the Namco games?

It's not a huge deal. But as you see from my scores. I have a thing for Dig Dug

Thanks

Just the plain source (http://www.mame.net), patched with the u1,u2, and u3 source updates (http://haze.mame.net). I'd rather not upload a binary for bandwidth reasons (dialup sucks).

this is late but i can't get this inp to get out of the blank screen that comes up, shortly after the attempt at initing. I'm assuming this is the "sound test" but i can't really tell since everything is black. Pretty strange if you can play it back lips, would definitly want to find out the cause of that...

I'm going to record an inp on 84u4 and post it here before I upload. We will see if that works.
