Any Raiden experts out there that could make an inp using -nosound? This would help me try to isolate where the playbackability problems for this are (I'm suspecting the sound hardware). You will need to set Free Play on though, as coin inputs are managed by the sound CPU, which is disabled when using -nosound.

Playsback fine for me too. Hopefully the sound synchronisation is finally working as it should. Anyone for a better in the 1M+ range to test this out?

As for the issue with MMF, that's weird, as MAME doesn't ever return an errorcode of 5, as far as I know.

Are you sure that this is MAME error, not OS?

Yes, that message is shown when MAME returns an errorcode to the OS.

Error codes are:
0 - No error (this would be normal, and shouldn't cause this message to be displayed)
1 - Failed Validity checks
2 - Missing ROM files
3 - Fatal error (of some description)
4 - Device init error (MESS only)
