Well, why don't you confirm it then.

Because I don´t want to "take" the confirm from John

But John can't confirm it because he can't get it to playback to the advertised score
As I'm the second person according to the rules that can get it to playback to the advertised score, I've confirmed it

Well, my intention was that if I can play it back with
gui mame, I thought that John might give it a try too when he sees my post. If it doesn´t work for him then I can of course confirm it
I just don´t want to "take" other peoples confirms so to speak.. I don´t care myself, but I have experience of people getting rather upset when I have done it before
I don´t really think that John cares about confirm statistics either, but as I have not asked him about it, I though it was best to "step aside" so to speak hehe.

Yes some people get upset by this. Don't hope you do John if you get it to work.
Diabolik: Good luck. I won't be playing it again, just seeing your play made me sick. I was really annoyed by the game at the end

Yeah, it's a crap game, but strangely addictive.

I'm now trying to break the 5000pts. barrier (almost 200 tries already

).

oh geesh. I think any confirmer(person A) who gets upset with someone else(person B) helps by viewing an inp and confirming it when the person A had issues getting it to successfully playback should be removed from being a confirmer.
Overall, it ends up wasting time of others where person A rewatches the replay trying different ways to get it to playback...when not necessary since another confirmer already confirmed it.
It also can be especially for fresh uploads where a person C is watching and confirming it also without knowledge others had posted to the forums about it etc.
John spends enough time confirming without wasting time confirming what others have been able to watch.
It's not like we get paid or get any credit level from confirmations.

It doesn´t matter what you think Rick (or what I think either!) some people wants their confirmations. Some people have different opinion, just accept it

if they are someone who "really wants" the confirmation, then they can keep trying on their own to playback the replay versus posting to the forums about playback issues.
Once they have asked for help then it shouldn't matter who confirms it as long as they successfully played back the replay.
That's how I see it. otherwise you have someone getting pissed off at someone who HELPED by figuring out how to get that replay to playback successfully. You also end up with others perhaps wasting time to watch a replay and confirm a score for a game that has already been confirmed by someone else.
It's not like there is a shortage of scores to confirm at MARP. Someone that wants to have tons of confirmations has tons of opportunities to do so without getting pissed off over one or a few that end up getting confirmed by someone else.
...or end up having a 3rd person just see the score on the site and watch the replay and confirm it...thus potentially pissing off 2 others who were working on it. I was saying there is no reason to get pissed over such things. If you have an attitude and temper where you get pissed over something like that then you shouldn't be confirming to start with.
That's my point.

Like I said, people have different opinions. I don´t care about how many confirms I have either, but I must accept if other people do that. That´s
my point

I look at it where it's their problem. They are bullying others if they ask for help then when they get it get pissed cuz the person that helped confirmed the score.
So what joe smoe with a crappy attitude confirms only 52 instead of 55 replays.
There should never be selective confirmation. Whoever gets it to playback to the correct score first, confirms it. It's that simple. Any confirming not willing to follow that should step down from being a confirmer.

I played it 199 times on .78
But you are right, crap but extremely addictive, and if I died to early I mostly just restarted.

But Zwaxy pays us per confirm at the end of the month, doesn't he?
Hehehe
Seriously, that was courteous, but unnecessary. If someone was concerned about their confirm numbers, they just need to get busy. I think there are over a thousand WolfMAME recordings alone unconfirmed at MARP.
My .80 GUI doesn't seem to want to start. Since I don't use it myself, it's not a major concern. Probably some minor detail I'm overlooking.
