This won't playback for me. i suspect, tommi, you copied the nvram AFTER you had recorded, you need the nv file/state BEFORE you start recording to include in the zip.
needs mame3236 to test playing back and you need to copy the 720b.nv to the nvram directory (cfg could help but i didn't need it for playing back 720 correctly), thanks, but i don't think anyone will get any good results.

Ummm...I guess you're just saying that for getting me back to game.
Want to see 250k with a spinner?
I downloaded my recording,
put 720b.cfg and default.cfg into "cfg"-folder,
put 720b.nv into "nvram" -folder
put 720b.inp into "inp" -folder
Frameskip 0, directsound, 22050, stereo, usesamples, volume attenuation 0. ---win98---
Playbacked normal untill 40k+(over point where recording breaks at other mame versions), then with f10...Playbacked to 235310 fine.
Chad, did you try with those cfg-files too???
I noticed, that when I use this "service mode-trick" when recording...timestamp of those files is changed, so I included them.
I run a .bat before each 720 recording:
copy c:\win36\play\*.cfg c:\win36\cfg\*.*
copy c:\win36\play\*.nv c:\win36\nvram\*.*
having .nv's and .cfg's at directory "play"...So nv and cfg should be the same allways.
Can you try with those options and cfg's one more time, if it doesn't playback then...I'll make new nv and cfg and try to record something with those before actual record-try...I like the game, but feels rather stupid to improve own scores if they do not playback.
Thanks,

no i want you to ship me your spiner :)The TJT wrote:Ummm...I guess you're just saying that for getting me back to game. :D Want to see 250k with a spinner?
I notice you didn't report FM Synth, was that checked or not? have to be complete here it was checked for me.The TJT wrote:Frameskip 0, directsound, 22050, stereo, usesamples, volume attenuation 0. ---win98---
yes, with and with out, I have a bash script, why would i even post here if i didn't try all the options? The TJT wrote:Chad, did you try with those cfg-files too???
It feels stupider to try and try again with multiple options with a recording and not get it to playback. That my friend is wasting time. At least when you're re-recording you're gaining more gameing experience. The TJT wrote:I like the game, but feels rather stupid to improve own scores if they do not playback.
I will try with FM synth off, maybe that's the trick, but if someone else can't get it to playback what's the point of keeping it around? you can remember you're personal best in your head or on a piece of paper, this site needs playbackable inps, no hearsay!
Notice i don't capitalize myself either, i.e. i mostly only capital letters in the begingin of sentace, because i don't care much about capitalization, it's not a put down.

Ok, ship me your credit card first.Chad wrote: no i want you to ship me your spiner![]()
No, my FM was not checked. My logic was that mentioned only checked.I notice you didn't report FM Synth, was that checked or not? have to be complete here it was checked for me.
I hope that's the problem. Maybe not...strange that 720.zip does playback but clone not. Maybe I've changed some settings, blaahhhhhhh.
"bash script" ?about cfg you wrote:yes, with and with out, I have a bash script, why would i even post here if i didn't try all the options?
Somehow I got "feel" from your previous post that you didn't try with cfg's. If you tried, maybe it does not playback...but only for me.
Do you accept videotape? hehe
....Meaning that I can make test-inps(just finishing, not TJT standard play)for you to try, if playback doesn't work with current inp. I don't want to play...ummm 2-20 hours to make 240-250k inp, which does not playback. The TJT wrote:I like the game, but feels rather stupid to improve own scores if they do not playback.
Then I should make test inps for 720b AND 720; because strangely other one playbacking don't quarantee playback for both, and I have changed cfg settings after last submission of 720.zip
...My logic being that if I make new score for clone, damn right I will improve the parent too

No inp playbacks for everyone, nothing I can do about it. I see marp also as a scoreboard.
Thanks for Your effort, lemme now how the story continues...

That only means that Skito knows Linux and is hoping that his fancy script actually worked. The TJT wrote:"bash script" ?
