Question for Novice
Hisa,
Since you are giving out useful information on the pacland thread, perhaps you could answer a question or two about Donpachi. The gamest record is over 59,000,000 points. The record score for the A type ship scores over 27,000,000 points on the first loop. How is this possible? There is a 20,000,000 replay of the first loop on marp using the type C ship. Doing combos with the A ship seems much harder than with the C ship. Are there any tricks for getting such a high score? Are there any replays out there of someone finishing the game on one credit? I have heard that there is a 50,000,000 point replay video. Do you have any idea where I could purchase a copy or download it?
Thanks.

I would like to know why that guy quits after playing the first loop? Maybe the game is too easy for him?zlk wrote:There is a 20,000,000 replay of the first loop on marp using the type C ship.

Haha no way. I will never be that good. Maybe with months of practice i would be able to beat one loop, but the second loop? Not a chance! My reflexes are just not that goodNovice wrote: Beat it by yourself.

I love the game though, and it sure would be great to see someone finish the second loop too hehe
What is your best score Hisa? I´m sure that you can do it!

I wouldn't say you are bad at the game either. You clear the first six levels on your first man. Since you only used 2 bombs before clearing stage 6, you also scored 5,000,000 bonus points at the end of that round. You then let all your men die on stage 7.Not good at.

I really liked watching that replay. I also think you could finish the game on one credit. I know many people would like to watch a replay where someone finishes the game on one credit. Perhaps you can make one for us?

could be.Weehawk wrote:Could it be some sort of weird perfectionist thing?BBH wrote:why must everyone always give up on the second loop
They'd rather quit while they're still perfect than be seen getting killed by the harder part to come?
But I always thought the "Do your best" mentality was such a popular belief in Japan... and giving up like that sure isn't a good way to show you tried your hardest.
