can't playback this one, perhaps it needs to be recorded with out sound (there is a difference even for games where sound doesn't work?)

same problem as Discs of Tron, something wrong in the driver for these games since .36 cycle?. can't play them without the sound hardware, and replay screws up with the sound hardware.
not bad enough that the analog emulation on these games is TERRIBLE. JUST ASTOUNDINGLY TERRIBLE. KICK IS THE WORST EMULATED ANALOGUE GAME ON MAME. THE ABSOLUTE WORST. WORSTESTEST.
John, if you're going to play this, i wouldn't recommend anything later than mame34

. maybe mame35tg3. maybe.

Hmmmm..
Sound works fine for me and it plays back with no problem.
I recorded one with -nosound and it will not playback for me.
Ironically, I remember control being problematic with this game in the arcade, as the trackball was ridiculously large and heavy.

i played the one in the disneyland arcade, had the ridiculous trackball. need a 3rd, but i'd be more interested in cunningham's ini file.

Don't think I've changed it since last time, but I'm attaching the current one.
Also, the recording I attached to my earlier post
does play back for me with the -nosound option. I forgot to include that on my command line when I tried before .
