Damage correct in earlier versions of Star Blade?

Post by Q.T.Quazar »

i'd appreciate if a few people would test this. to me, it looks like damage from bombs and, in particular, the blue star-shaped weapons that come out of asteroids do not do the correct amount of damage in earlier versions of Starblade. View skyline and GameGuru's .inps:

and contrast with mine:

I don't know about that, but can you give some specs of the machine you play mame with. Because of ver63 problem.

Processor!!!!!!, operating system, possibly motherboard, soundcard etc...

Starblade is fucking good game though. Only thing I don't like about it, is that it's patterned.

Specs are: Athlon 2100XP+, VIA A7V chipset if I remember correctly, OS Windows XP, 512M of RAM, GeForce4 ti 4200, Maxtor ATA 100 60Gb hard drive, SoundBlaster Audigy, 5.1 Surround Sound setup, Logitech Wingman RumblePad.

Someone posted that they managed to run the .inp with an Athlon 1800XP...?

I've tried everything I can think of to run your .inp, Tommi, and it's no go (including 5 different MAME/AlphaMAME versions). I guess I'm just out of luck. :(
