Got my brother's system working,, so I can check some slightly older files. This is an ancient .inp of Ken Okamoto's, back from the .png days. Will only play back to 24700. There were known replay problems with this game.

This not only crashes my Dos Mame BIGTIME [Including a blinking monitor and if I don't ctrl-tab it quick enough, a full system reset] but it also doesn't playback with the win32 version either.
