There are numerous web sites that show you how to get to the -1 world as well as how to do the turtle/stair trick to amass tons of lives.

That technique is illegal at MARP.

Going to the -1 world while cool is a dead end.

In summary to get to -1 world you know that last reverse L shaped pipe you go in before you come out at the very end of world 1-2?

Well, you just get on that pipe(instead of going in it)...then stand on the edge and break the block above you....then stand on the extreme edge where you are almost falling off and break that block also.

This will leave 1 block unbroken above that pipe that you could break...but don't.

Now you face toward the left....jump up and curve yourself so at the peak of the jump the back of your head hits the edge of that remaining block....catch it just right and you get sucked on by it and can go through that thick wall to a pipe...that will take you to world -1.

At least I think I'm remembering it correctly..been years since I did it...again there are many web sites that describe this with pictures that are more than enough info so you can do it yourself.
