¿May I participate although I'm out of the contest? (The "issue" that put me apart of K6 was born yesterday  )

Udirnel
Sorry, you can play the game and send it here to show your skill but your score won't be included in the round 3 because we have already the 18 players.

Cheers.

Yeah, we'll use WolfMAME+'s frame counter to determine time. It'll be +/- a second, unless it's close in determining either the top 12 or the seeding of the top 12, in which we'll look at them again to be precise to the frame.

When playbacking:

Press f11 to see framecount (frameskipping doesn't seem to have effect). See how many frames your recording had (from start to last stage finished?).
Divide that frame number by 60 to get seconds played. (Do we really need this?)
Perhaps no need for framecounting on early submissions?

With all courtesy, I think this is a total fuckpig game. ](*,)

I think "time"/"Number of Frames" makes sense as score system if the majority of players can finish the game (probably i can't :( (<-- this is a bit optimistic i can't for sure   )) if we don't think about finished games time is only a tie breaker, but, in thi case we have problems defing main score: "level" is too rough... and maybe the sub-section too... everything imo 8)
Maybe this game setup was better in h2h scenario?

Why don't GB9 come up with the similar idea that Phil did on WCC6 round 1 (TangTang). I think that scoring system may work on time trial for gng.

Good luck on Top 18. Thank God, I don't have to play that game and I haven't even played for years.

Btw, Marco... GnG wasn't popular here in states in the parts of where I'm from. I have seen it once, long time ago. Used to play GnG on C-64 version, but it is harder than arcade version.

Why you haven't put it in Round 2 ? :'(

Rafael, this one is for you :)
Yes... If this game could be putted on Round 2, you´re be the champion of the round, François!!

Well... I´ve tried. I finished the game (the complete run with 2 loops) in 31:09 min.

I´ve a question. Can use the tricks like disapear the dragon on fire bridge? The only forbidden is to leech??

Are we allowed to do this?: http://beatthegame.net/gng.zip

You'll need an MNG viewer to watch it:

I think it should be disallowed, it's a bug in the game. Pete and Marco can watch it and tell what they think about it. I'm personnaly against.

How about this one as well (it's the one Innuendo mentioned)?

This is a time trial, and these do help a little if done correctly. Davil does the trick with the dragon. He also does a trick where he goes up the ladder in stage 6 to get the enemies moving, then he goes back down the ladder and goes all the way to the left of the screen, shoots until the enemies jump, and then goes back up the ladder. The enemies are in midair so you can walk underneath them.

Why shouldn't these things be allowed? It's not like they get rid of enemies for an entire stage, give invincibility or anything like that.

The first one that I posted a video of doesn't really matter since you don't actually gain any time for using it. The other two I mentioned in this post should be allowed though. They've been used on MARP before.

The coordinators will decide the "real rules", but when I made my replay, the only trick that I used was don´t fight with the second dragon (fire bridge).

In level 6, I´ve lost the armour in the two giants at the begining of the level, and I kept going up.

I didn´t use warp zone or something like that. But, if the rule is to fight with all enemies, no problem.

I could be ok for the ladder, the red devil and the dragon but not for the 1st trick you mentioned because if i saw well, it's like a shortcut, no ?
