Watching Bush's State of the Union speech somehow reminded me of this fine song(and hey, it's pretty retro):

Nice little song with so 80's music video. You rarely see red mohicans nowadays.
That didn't sound very familiar, but surely stranglers was not popular only in UK. They used to play "Golden Brown" a lot here:

To your other question, yes that looked a lot like Spitting Image to me. Some youtubers say clip is from french series, dunno.

Here, as being a fanboy, is something Star Wars related:

(Weird Al - Saga Begins, connected to EP1, Phantom Menace)
Here's original song, which tells about plane crash in 59 where Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richards died.

Here's one after "the day that music died", brings some memories,

Tommi. You have tooooooooo much time on your hands...
But seriously, yep that EURO2007 entry does sound familiar to the tunes you listed, but if you ask me, most Euro songs sound the same....
Orrf is dead, unless some 'evil' Nazi experiment kept him alive and is living in Argentina with the rest of his buddies, so no comeback there legally.
Jillian? Must investigate more.
Btw, Ireland's entries have been ripping off others for years. Hail to the POWER BALLAD......yuk!
Did I ever tell you I met Johnny Logan? Nice guy. Very tall too.
