9 out of 11 scores submitted are in 1st place (99 pts.).....

Some of you suggest games to be archived without play them, just watching the scoreboard...
This game (sprint8) is extremely difficult. Most of players will never make 99, even if they try for months.

You didn't played it either....so what's the problem with you...?!

Yes, I did played it. Impossible for me to make 99. I don't know if there's any trick.

9 people make 99, so what? 7 people made 999,999 in Dragoninja, so let's archive Dragonninja too?

There are currently only three scores submitted, but all three are perfect 300 maximum scores so it definitely looks like a candidate for archiving.

But since 2012 when Paulo/Saulon uploaded his score, there was no need for archiving, right?

I see that your appeal was immediately satisfied. Meanwhile tons of fake inps, some of them reported by me already, remain unfixed...

And also please reconsider Exciting Animal Land Jr. (animaljr) and clones. Look how many 65s have been submitted, but also, you can test on your own.

Its extremely difficult to make 65. Play a game before you write your nonsense.

well there are multiple ways you get 'lots of maximum score'

games which were poorly designed and can be counterstopped in the first few stages without playing properly obviously need special rules to encourage proper play (even if it's something as simple as 'divide score by the number of stages you didn't complete')

games where there's a clear maximum score, and a lot of people have it, you could simply split the leaderboard points if you're not already doing so, if there are multiple 1st places, they're worth less points.

alternatively again you come up with another method of splitting the scores, like looking at how quickly they were achieved in the same way speedruns are done (obviously only counting gameplay time) this is however extra work for the moderators.

MAME can actually do lua scripting now, it might even be mature enough for people to write scripts to judge inps for specific cases, like watch for coin in, only count time during active gameplay, that kind of thing, although again, creating such scripts would be a lot of work and I'm not really sure this community really has people both capable and interested in doing such things.

Unfortunately it seems PP has already started again with his aggressive stance, I doubt he'll stay unbanned for long.

No Brian, sorry, even though I can understand your sickness about the question, a ban should be applied only by judgement of an administrator.
I believe nothing would prevent community to have a poll - it's not like we are not asking to consider more severe measures, but a poll would have no theoretical power if not to give an overall opinion of the voters. Opinion which is, pretty clear at the moment at least at basis, thus starting polls would just be ridicolous.

Usually you don't perma-ban people in any forum immediately, the standard is to give some days as a forced pause, and then a chance for re-thoughts/redemption, in other words, a chance for starting to behave properly again.
Chance that, as you can see, has just been used to throw oil to the fire.

FYI even though I read everything, I'm not going to reply to him, in any case. May he feel free to test me out.

How do these skills differ from other card games? What makes it a video game instead of a card game on computer?

What does it do? Can it be played or is it just a rom without gameplay simulation?

I played a few years back this commercial pinball simulation called "VR Pinball" at close by service station, it was awesome. Wonder if it's on MAME yet...

You can trigger all the mechanical score parts without playing anything, of course it gets archived.

Baby Pac shouldn't be archived imo. If played within the special rules it's perfectly playable and a fair Pac-Man game although rather difficult without the pinball simulation.
