The J.League 1994 (Japan, Rev A)

Post by PP. »

There is a playback issue with this rom(jleague) which I've detected from last May,
playback shows normally only first match, then goes crazy.
Phil has uploaded an inp with scores in second and third game, but you won't see them.
So, shoud we add a special rule about only first match?

No special rule because playback doesn't work.
We just have to wait till playback problems will be fixed for this game

And meanwhile we'll have scores which do not agree with playback?
I guess you have to edit your score to 105, as I did too. Otherwise anyone can claim any score.

Or have it zeroed because no one can play it back. Need to start maintaining a list of games with problematic playback again, it's just really hard to keep updated.

Score adjusted. I've made several tests (no sound, constant frameskipping etc) but game still desyncs on second match.
Parent (svf) was ok with older versions. Some stuff for Mame dev

What about "jleagueo", is it a diffrent game? You inp says "jleague".
And what about "dsaber", after so many months vaz's score of 32040 still remains there.

Maybe this should be written in special rules?

So, if I play "jleague" in under 0.106, it will be "jleagueo"?
Playback is normal?

Done (for jleague)

Yes, if you play jleague with 0.106, you will have to submit under "jleagueo" on Marp.
A classic problem, can be avoided now when reading special rules for Jleague.
All mame renames bring a bit of confusion as usual

I guess ; my 0.106 inp seems to playback perfectly.
I suppose something has changed between 0.106 & 0.174 which brings the desync
