The game Xain'd Sleena has special rules.
I don't know why the rom Xain'd Sleena (Japan)(xsleenaj) has not!
It's an error!
Thanks in advance.

Another question.
The DaviL@AIVA's inp in this game is impossible to playback and It has been recorded using 30k/80k lives and the special rule for this game says 20/80k. I think this score should be put to 0.

Re: Xain'd Sleena Game
The playback only fails if you don't match the dipswitch settings it was recorded on. Mahlemiut figured that out back when the recording was uploaded in 2008 and people couldn't figure out why it wasn't playing back properly:
That said, I agree that the recording should be zeroed because it violates the special rules.mahlemiut wrote:I've figured it out! Looks like DIP switches are no longer stored in the INP, or aren't being read from the INP.

To play it back correctly, you have to set the DIP switches to match what was used when recording, which should be 30k/80k.

Just an oblivion, xsleenaj is a recent clone (m148).empardopo wrote:The game Xain'd Sleena has special rules.

Now it's fixed ...
For Davil's inp (I don't know the game very well) can't we consider that settings used [30k/80k] are harder than the ones required [20k/80k] or at least equal ?
The point here is to avoid [20k & EVERY 80k] or [30k & EVERY 80k] which leeds to leeching, no ?

I like to follow the rules.

colman paolo inp was recorded with 30/80k bonus life (special rules is 20/80k). Should be zeroed?

Re: Xain'd Sleena Game
The rules at MARP say that the dip switches have to be set to defaults (or TG) or harder. Extra lives at 30k and 80k only is technically harder than 20k and 80k only. It is effectively the same for anybody who can score at least 80k. I didn't see a problem with it so I confirmed the recording.

Pools are here:Dipswitch setting [20k 80k only] must be used for all recordings.

I'm not sure that game code work identical for different bonus lives.Extra lives at 30k and 80k only is technically harder than 20k and 80k only. It is effectively the same for anybody who can score at least 80k.
Re: Xain'd Sleena Game
That will be for the editors to decide. It played back to the correct score and followed the general rules of MARP so I have no complaints, but if you have evidence about how the game plays differently at a harder bonus life setting then that would help your case.
