this is could be a samples/artwork issue too, i also get 1040 anyway I try it, need third to zero. (trying to reply to these slow so that others might catch up and respond to test and be the third person who can't playback so we can put these faulty inps to bed under the rules)

I've switched tactic to beginning with each of the MAME versions from earliest onwards: for each INP in that version, I check all submissions in that full parent/clone set. I'm likely to hit several more & then the flow should abate as I get through the early versions ones (currently 33b6)... I hope.
