Ah, the gauntlet of challenge has been thrown in the great old style
of MARP. That's the welcome back I was looking for. Consider it a
battle to the end, and I mean the true end. May the best man be the
first to reach 8-4. ;p

I think I just gave everyone a clue what the game is...... but my
first uploading will come this weekend anyway regardless of how many
of the later stages I have/haven't relearnt.

This is the part of MARP I love, battling over a game you love to
play rather than worrying about l/b points.

Cheers,
BeeJay (64th)

Ahh an uploading this weekend already?? Then I have to practice even
harder my friend, cause I think you are a few steps in front of me
right now:) It´s just a feeling I have...

And you have right, it´s time to finish this game truely!

And yes again, the gauntlet has been thrown!

I didn't say it would be a good uploading, probably just a 6-? or 7-?
level recording. I suspect it will be a few weeks before I get to an
8-? recording and probably not until next year before an 8-4 true
ending.

Consider my submission this weekend just an initial parry to get the
battle started and if it's further on than you are currently
something to aim for. :)

I'm looking forward to the battle.

En Garde QRS.

Stage 7-4 but I lost the axe in a stupid maneouvre at the beginning
and never quite recovered from that - which is often the case on the
later n-4 levels but especially as this is the first time I've ever
made it to 7-4 in 1 game and I have no idea how to work that level
without an axe... well, I have a reasonable idea of the first bits
now of course since I just wasted several "boys" on that stage in
this recording.

I'll look to see what damage you've done tomorrow my time.

I´m relearning some of the 5 levels right now.. and there are a few
extras and dolls I have forgotten were they are.. I refuse to view
your inp before I have found out were they are.. so far I have only
had 2 games my first was 300k and the second 800k so I´m getting
there soon Brian:) I loooove those challenges!

Back to some more playing now.. no time to waste hehe

ps Nice score Brian! you are way ahead of me right now but the
weekend is not over yet, and I will not upload anything less than
your score hehe..
The worst thing is that Tombraider v has been released now..but I
think i have time for both of the games :)

900k now and still making those damn mistakes..

Final score Today: 913420 died at 6-3 not so good points considering
coming to 6-3 I begin to remember this game now Brian:) But it was
pure luck that I stumbled over the doll at 6-3... I also played a game
(don´t remember the score) but I didn´t lose a single "boy" until 6-1
and lost my axe.. I died all men there... I can only say I was
frustrated.. ALOT frustrated *lol*

Time for some sleep, and in the morning I will get my first mil for
over 13 years on this game:)

QRS: I was kind to you yesterday and again today - not enough spare
time to make any new recordings.

Everyone else: Feel free to join in but remember we're aiming for an
8-4 true ending so no wimping out on 7-4 to ensure you get the end of
game bonus or points leeching on 6-2 just to improve your final
score..... ;-)

Well, I decided what the heck who needs an early night and had a
quick game. Unfortunately I mucked up in a silly place on 4-3 and
had to get through 4-4 without an axe. Then, after a reasonable
recovery I ended up with a Win95 crash ½ way through Level 5-2. Over
to you to try to raise the bar again QRS. :)

Day 4, area 7-4. Threw away the game on the wrong blue island girl
for the doll bonus. :((

Never mind, I'd missed the doll bonus on 7-3 by a hare's whisker
anyway so I wouldn't have made it onto 8-1 anyway.....

Still, not too bad when you consider I could never make it past 6-1
back in the days when I played this in the arcades. :))

BeeJay.

PS: Still missing the letter bonus on a couple of stages as well.

don´t know where to find and I will gladly tell you:) at least all of
