HOwdy y'all let me tell ya 'bout john McCallaster's DEFENDER , STAR CASTLE & STARGATE
replays.
thedefender game alone measures 100 megebytes .inp size , darn!
but , the uncanny thingy about it is that he was down to no ships in reserve fer 'about three times like at 40k, 141k and another score thereafter..
from experience to me this is going against the odds or the tendency to accumilate extra ship wealth .

Yup, Jonny is a master at those games. If you like his Defender play, maybe check out my Stargate 877,675. Just posted. =)

Hi! Hows it goin? Thanks for watching my iNP. I have not buit a MAME cab or contoller (yet). I started playing Stargate on my laptop after I sold my standup arcade machine...I didn't think I'd be able to get anywhere near 800,000s with laptop keys, but slowly I was able to transfer some of my coin-op skillz to the laptop. I can marathon the arcade machine. I did 10,000,000 in 2009 and posted youtube vids of that game. here....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTS11G2Ey0M

as far as laptop setup goes.... heres how I set my laptop key for Stargate and Defender.
up = r
down = f
reverse = c
thrust = [
fire = \
smartbomb = /
inviso = R <alt>
hyperspace = p

and then just practice till your fingers bleed. LOL... I have to admit its been an act of fustration trying to re-learn what is already second nature to you on the arcade. lots of the sloppy gameplay was due to still not quite there with reguards to perfect contol. Thats when the games start going into the 1,000,000s. I hope to get ther soon with some more practice.

Thats a very respectable score of 350,000 on the arcade. propz.

Great little battle going on with Stargate. I've seen a pic of Eric's controls. I wonder what the other guy is using to play?

Keep it up!

Hi AL! Nice to see you here. =)

You Mean Dazzer. Yea, I had no idea he was that good, then all of the sudden. boom... dude drops a 715k?! And I was like '"where did this guy come from?" I think hes in Dublin Ireland and hes a beast at Stargate. We've been trading the record back and forth now like 5 times...

EzE 619k
Daz 715k
EzE 856k
Daz 864k
EzE 877K

I don't expect to stay on top for too long. A Stargate player of his caliber will not go quitely. To get as good as he is takes a love for the game very few have. I gotta keep improving too cause hes right there, but I like it! like they say "Iron sharpens Iron" and I doubt I would push my game this far If I didn't have the competition.

think hes in Dublin Ireland
Really? I wonder if I know him from yesteryear? Dublin arcade scene was a relatively small scene.

I do remember watching some great players on Stargate BITD, especially one guy.
I wonder?!!!
