From MAWS :
last change(s) .125u5 .120 .109 .059
0.125u5: Johnboy added correct m1 CPU2 rom to 'Puzzled / Joy Joy Kid'.

Does everybody has the old rom ?
if not we could have some playback problem ...
And more, the neogeo bios has changed and the actual version doesn't work with the 0.106 version for this game.

So you need 0.106 version of the 2 roms.

I'm sure you don't want us linking to a site with it, but lets just say I had no trouble finding it with my best friend google  Although it did take me two tries. First one was missing some of the files.

Well, I'll take a look at the recordings and see if there's a big playback issue. If so... I guess I'll have to find another puzzle game. :(

As long as the game itself doesn't have playback issues, they should play back if you don't get any bad ROM warnings when you start the game. I've already played back a couple of INP's with no problem.

In most case, changes to Neo Geo ROMs have only changed the size of the ROM in question. I still have the old M1 ROM and I don't remember having any issues playing back Kale's INP in 0.140.
I'd presume the first 64kB of the new ROM is the same as what 0.106 expects and would load.

Yeah, I was 4/4 in playing back submitted recordings, so we play on with the current game.

So what happens if we don't make it thru all 10 stages? Do we count the time at the last stage completed, or the end of the game?

Boy it's quiet around here... anyway, now that my thought of beating 10 minutes has become reality... and 9:30 looks quite likely to be broken as well, now I'm wondering if 9 minutes can be broken.

I'm also asking myself why I didn't make the maximum 20 stages instead of 10... but I guess that's another discussion altogether, isn't it? :)

I calculated it... 65,147 from your 8:12 recording of 6 stages completed.

Stage 7 is just impossible for me... I will try again, but I think I won't be able to complete all 10 stages. #-o
