MARP Election 2010 - Final Results

Post by Zhorik »

Here are the final results of the MARP 2010 Election:

KO Coordinators: Ghemant (Chairman), MassimoGaspari, Nibbler_69

Editor Confidence Votes:
BBH (Matt Hall): Passed
Frankie (Michael Bruhn): Passed
Mahlemiut (Barry Rodewald): Passed
Phil Lamat: Passed
Skito ("Chad" Hurwitz): Passed
***PL*** (Pat Laffaye): Passed
Q. T. Quazar: Passed

The following candidates were running unopposed and have been elected:
Regulation Coordinator: Kale (Note: there was one explicit vote for Kale to show extra support for him even though he was running unopposed)
Tournament Coordinator: Chufoglu (aka Potante)
Olympiad Coordinator: Gameboy9
WCC Coordinator: Phil Lamat
Time Trial Coordinator: Gameboy9

Result Details:

Knockout Coordinator:
Total Votes: 19
Ghemant: 11
BBH: 10
MassimoGaspari: 10
Nibbler_69: 10
Zerstorung: 9
Shoesama: 7

We were originally going to have a runoff between BBH, MassimoGaspari and Nibbler_69 for the second and third KO Coordinator positions, but BBH chose to withdraw from the runoff so the runoff was canceled.

Editor Confidence Votes (Yes/No/Abstains):
BBH: 14 - 5
Frankie: 10 - 7 - 2
Mahlemiut: 18 - 1
Phil Lamat: 18 - 1
Skito: 16 - 2 - 1
***PL***: 15 - 3 - 1
Q. T. Quazar: 15 - 2 - 2

There were two voters that only submitted Knockout Coordinator votes and two voters that only submitted Editor Confidence votes.

Cool I get to play next year.

Also I like how the margin between the two KO teams and the no votes for BBH match up perfectly (1+1+3=5)
Not that that says anything since it would have to be 15 (5x3) to imply something

doesn't surprise me really, I know there's certain people that dislike me now and want to take their anger out on me for my choice.

That said, since people don't want a BBH-Zerst-Shoe run K8, please don't bother voting for me in the runoff election. I imagine it's much easier for Gemant / Massimo / Nibbler to be able to communicate tournament-related discussions in their own native language.

Doesn't surprise me that you are going to be editor for 2011 either.

Do we want to put up an election nominees for Mr. Obvious 2010 between you and me? :D

Hmm, would it be possible to allow BBH to just withdraw right now to save us some time?

I don't think we'd have BBH winning anyways once all those BBH votes get diverted to Massimo and nibbler

If BBH requests to withdraw from the runoff, he can withdraw.
