Post by andyy119 »

I have a problem with an input file in mpangj-pm WRX2 claims a score in this game of 858,100 but i can only see a score of 408,700 then he enters score on high score table is this not right or am i doing something wrong.

Thanks

Did you use WolfMame 78 when you tried to play it?

i cant get the wolf106 high score in tour mode to work... (japan)..or
the panic/expert in wolf104..

they've renamed the roms..and moved the files around..

- 0.125u3: Bonky added Mighty! Pang (Euro 001010). Renamed (mpang) to (mpangu).

none of the romsets work for the older high scores.. i think i need to find an older
set..

************************UPDATE********************
ok, if you search for 'pang arcade'.. you'll find
pages with the older version.. it works now...
watching and learning!!!

i'll keep looking..

...or you could simply merge the ROMs. Problem solved. :)

hmm..i've never tried that..

but i did take the old roms, from pang, and move them into pangj, and it still didn't work..

it seems there was some renaming, and also some possible encryption(?) on the older
versions..

regardless...i got it to work.. i need a lot of work on my games..

Simply copy all the ROMs and XORs into mpang.zip. You will need to rename the zip to mpangj.zip when you use a version of MAME that has just the Japanese version, but that's a pretty simple operation. Filenames of the ROMs in a zip are irrelevant.
