Ok! I know what the problem is... NVRAM!

I have nvram folder disabled, but WolfMAME .118 create nvram before and after recording. The only way is to make it work is make a dummy (NULL) directory to make sure that nvram is not saved before or after recording.

Also, mahlemiut must forgotten to disabled that feature, again. :P

You must have missed this bit from just over a year ago...

has anyone replayed the top score on dig dug?
http://replay.marpirc.net/r/digdug

i tried the top score twice..(under mame56.. mame55 crashes with an error)..
yeah, i know its a mac file, but it says its compatible..

it stops at 204, around 3.1 million...

haven't tried don hayes 2nd place, but it doesn't work under vista..
so i'll try it on xp..

tech-d uses great techniques, including the drop rock freeze, but could
use some of dons patterns combined to make a higher score on the
earlier level ..

darn!!! I REALLY want to see a kill screen in dig-dug, i've never seen it..

i never even knew about the slow levels either.. i always used to quit at a million, or shortly
afterward..

i wish there was some other replays or videos of this.. i couldn't find any on youtube..

It's been a while since I watched TECH-D's replay but I do know I was able to watch the whole thing. I'll try and check later tonight to see if I can still get it to play back.

I'm pretty sure Ken House has a video of the kill screen on youtube somewhere. He uses "scoundrl" as his username in several places.
