What versions are allowed in Tournaments?

Im curious if non DOS based versions of Mame are allowed in the tourneys? I run linux, and wouldnt mind being in the next tourney..

i have linux too, i will do all that i can to see Mark Longridge
makes a version of tgmame for linux. but really that is up to him, i
know how to compile xmame (as everyone does who uses it , but small
parts of the tgmame source that deals with security is not public, so
only a binary version of the linux mame would be distributed.
