Well, I started recording .inp files with MAME Language32+ or whatever it is v. 0.37b2. Since that F*!@#n' emu crashed every time I hit ESC, when I do zip the files I get an error message, but then when I do play back my recordings, they work. So I think it should all be fine, but if anyone does experience any problem with my recordings, please let me know QUICKLY!

are using m37b2 when you are uploading your inp.files..
Not win037b2 as you have chosed in your uploadings..

Unfortunatley there are unofficial versions of the latest mame
versions for windows. So he's probably right about using a windows
mame that is version 37b2. What people may not realize is there will
probably be differences in unofficial versions with the official
counterparts that may make a recording recorded on an unofficial
version NOT playbackable by an official version. but who playsback
their recordings before they upload anyway...? (sarcasm there.)

I think if you can't verify your own recordings you shouldn't upload
them. It's proper ettiqute to verify that a recording playsback
right after you record to ensure quality...

For your notes vaz: I was unable to playback ssprint or sspacat using
official mame37b2 but i was able to playback you runark recording
using official win36.

frameskips, but i don't even know where this unofficial 37b2 is
released so i can't verify them unplaybackable yet.

You can grab the unofficial MAME32 from arcadeathome.com I quit using
PL297s speed-up ver (not the same one) a few months back because these
unofficial versions are NOT built on the same source as The latest WIN
version, in fact, they use either the LAST released WIN version or the
DOS source. I seem to recall reading that this latest one was built on
the DOS source, so it may be a hybrid. Bad news when deciding what to
upload under. Regardless, you should be writing in your description
area any particularities of the MAME ver you are uploading with, if
not standard, Vaz.

The only one I wanted to do was dygera, and it does (I
watched it of course). Anyway, I downloaded a bugfixed version so I

Here is my real problem: I can't use the official version of mame
(dos) because my pc can't stand it! I don't know why, but if I try to
run it, the computer resets... this doesn't happen with windoze
version, so I am forced to use it. Since the official MAME32 is still
stuck on v. 0.36final (if I remember correctly), I am forced to
download an unofficial version if I want to play the latest games... I
don't know the cause of my problem (but I suspect my viedo card knows
something about thta...), if anyone has useful suggestions to give...
keep in mind that's not a troublem I have with MAME only, I have
experienced it with other DOS emus and older games. Yours faithfully

I also had some problems with m36 dos final ; you should try to use
the command "-nostretch" when launching a game ... it could work

figured out you need to CLICK the mouse button to get passed the
version screen in the official version and you need to hit any KEY on
the official version to get passed the version screen. hope that
helps, and hope i can get to see a growl version that plays back
passed 10k.

I use MAMELang+ 32, since it's got support for Italian. I played back
most of my last recordings and they work fine, Growl (US) and Kyros
included. The problem I have (the resetting computer) occurs with
EVERY version of MAME that works under DOS, that's why I am forced to
use these unofficial versions.
