Surprised this one was not more popular with the Robotron/Smash TV crowd.

Wasn't able to find much on the web devoted to this one either. Some good info on the much-maligned KLOV:

Starcade video clip:

Perhaps destructor will explain the optimal method to us after he collects the further bounty.

Did he submit something to you already? D: I'm working on something too, unless he's already done it... :D

I was being facetious, and judging on past record.

Have no actual knowledge whether he's even played this or not.

I think the chances of anyone ever finishing this on 1 credit are pretty much NIL... including DES..... I just spent several hours using multiple continues and gave up trying to get to see the "big surprise"....

This game is one of the worst I've ever seen for being impossibly ridiculously difficult on the later levels..... what moron decided to make a game this hard?!?

You mean no one might take my hundred clams? I hate when that happens.

Further bounty is very very interesting but I will not play. I made pause for GEGOTW during K5. Sorry.

(maybe I will play on Lost Tomb when I made 3'20 on Over Top. Game looks interesting).

Could you flesh that out a little for us?

OK, I just watched your recording. Yeah, Room 42 is a deathtrap.

Is there no way of avoiding it?

I don't think so. The real problem with this game is that the chests that restore the timer do not reappear when you die in a room... but all the enemies DO reappear. So if you get pretty far into a big room like that and then die after using most/all of the chests... yeah, the only way you're going to survive now is through lots of whips.

And I don't see any way of surviving Room 42 without lots and lots and lots of whips. If the whole floor is like that... yeah, screw that.

as to why I didn't go out in a blaze of glory and just start wasting all my whips on my last life... I don't know, I just stopped caring. I have issues with the control in this game at times, seems like there's a delay before the whip is activated.

for me the whip delay isn't as much a problem as the bullet delay(s). 42 isn't the issue it's that all the rooms after that are just as hard, i.e. about 45+ more of them to finish the game to get to room 91. I'm wondering why the "moron" didn't at least make it $250 to finish this impossible game. Here's a map of where the throne rooms are.
